International student intra-institutional transfer procedures

According to Article 16 of "Bartın University Regulations on Admission and Registration of International Students," international students enrolled in our university programs have the right to change departments once through intra-institutional transfer. Applications for transfer for the Spring Semester of the 2023-2024 Academic Year for international students will be accepted online through the system prepared by the Information Processing Department Directorate.

 

INTRA-INSTITUTIONAL TRANSFER PROCEDURES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ENROLLED IN OUR UNIVERSITY PROGRAMS

Regulation

According to Article 16 of the Bartın University Guidelines for the Admission and Registration of International Students:

"First-year students (excluding those in the Turkish Preparatory program) may transfer to their desired department once, within the first 2 semesters of starting their program, by the add-drop week following the start of classes, provided there is an available quota and the approval of the academic unit's administrative board, in either the Fall or Spring semesters. Second-year students can apply for intra-institutional transfer by benefiting from the University's Top Ten Percent Rule. There is no quota limitation for transfers from the first education program to the second education program of the same department."

"Students granted intra-institutional transfer rights under this guideline must have an admission score or diploma grade that is not lower than the minimum score or grade of the last admitted international student to the respective department, based on the admission type."

Bartın University 2023-2024 Academic Year Spring Semester International Student Intra-Institutional Transfer Application Dates and Announcement of Results

  • Application Dates: February 3-11, 2024
  • Evaluation of Applications: February 12-13, 2024
  • Announcement of Results: February 14, 2024 (on the Academic Units' websites)
  • Student Registration: February 15-16, 2024
    The academic unit student affairs will conduct department and course registrations.

Documents Required for Application

  1. Active Student Certificate
  2. Original diploma and original transcript, along with translations approved by the Turkish Representation
  3. International Student Intra-Institutional Transfer Application Form (available on the application screen)

Note: International students who are accepted for intra-institutional transfer must pay the difference in tuition fees, if any, for the new department they will enroll in. The receipt must be sent to the email address listed in the announced lists during the student registration week. If the difference in fees is not paid, course registration will not be processed.

Note: Programs with a mandatory preparatory year and Special Talent Programs do not have allocated quotas, while 5 quotas are allocated for other programs.
