Business Administration
About: Department of Business Administration is to train qualified staff equipped with knowledge, skills and training that local, regional, national and international enterprises and public institutions need. In addition, it is aimed to integrate entrepreneurs and professionals who can transform regional resources and potential into economic benefits, and identify these competitive advantages in a regional and wider scale to society. * In this program, the training is provided by the second instruction.
Purpose: The goal of the Department of Business Administration is to train qualified staff equipped with knowledge, skills and training that local, regional, national and international enterprises and public institutions need. In addition, it is aimed to integrate entrepreneurs and professionals who can transform regional resources and potential into economic benefits, and identify these competitive advantages in a regional and wider scale to society.
Target:
- To understand the basic concepts of the science of Business Administration and gain an interdisciplinary perspective.
- To know and implement business functions (management, marketing, manufacturing, human resources, finance, accounting, public relations, research and development) in line with total quality management.
- To learn about marketing functions and entrepreneurship and to apply basic principles of project management techniques and business processes.
- To know the business processes such as communication, leadership, motivation, conflict, and teamwork. Also to be conscious of ethical values and social responsibility issues.
- To identify basic concepts related to the economy and to express the importance of foreign trade for businesses.
- To use information and communication technologies required by the profession as well as knowledge of basic computer use, to make use of the main methods of numerical analysis and applications of these methods in business world.
Acceptance Requirements: Students are admitted for higher education through exam. The exam is made twice a year by Student Selection and Placement Center(OSYM). The students are admitted to higher education with an average point which is calculated with their exam points and secondary school achievement points. The students are admitted to Vocational Schools of Higher Education without an exam as well.
Graduation Requirements: Students who successfully complete all compulsory courses specified in the course plan and the minimum number of elective courses required; complete 120 ECTS credits and have a minimum CGPA of 2.00/ 4.00 will graduate.
Degree: After successfully completing the programme fulfilling the programme requirements, the students graduate with an Associate Degree from “Business Administration” department. Graduates of the programme are entitled to receive an “Associate Diploma” and “Member of Profession” title.
Transition: The graduates of the programme have a wide range of employment opportunities. They can be employed as intermediate staff in marketing, finance, accounting, banking, insurance, public relations and human resources departments of both industrial and commercial companies in private sector as well as in public institutions: Among the opportunities are; Finance, accounting, marketing, human resources, purchasing and public relations departments of small and large scale businesses Investment and finance institutions Public and private banks Private enterprise Public accountant, independent accountant and financial advisor and certified public accountant bureaus Accounting and staff departments of various public institutions and tax offices

Examination Evaluation: 1 Midterm exam (40%) ,1 Final exam (60 %) Assessment methods and techniques used ; observation, oral presentation, project , self-assessment , peer assessment, group assessment, scoring key ( rubric ) , performance evaluation, concept maps, short-answer items , multiple choice tests, matching materials, long-answer items.

Grade Requirements and Rules: In order to be entitled to receive a Degree from our school, the student is required; - To have a minimum CGPA of 2.00/ 4.00 - To complete all compulsory courses specified in the course plan successfully and to complete 120 ECTS credits. - To complete a 40-day-internship, graduation project and presentation
